Responsibilities
What You Will Own & Deliver
- Architect, write, and scale low-latency backend microservices using Go, Node.js, and Python FastAPI.
- Design scalable database schemas, write performant SQL migrations, and configure connection pooling for PostgreSQL clusters.
- Implement event-driven asynchronous architectures with Apache Kafka to decouple mission-critical business transactions.
- Build high-performance gRPC interfaces for inter-service communication with strict protocol buffer schema contracts.
- Diagnose memory leaks, CPU bottlenecks, and database deadlocks using pprof, tracing, and structured log analytics.
- Implement automated disaster recovery drills, database replica failovers, and point-in-time recovery pipelines.
Qualifications
Required Experience & DNA
- 4+ years of backend engineering experience developing and scaling distributed systems in production.
- High proficiency in Golang or Node.js (TypeScript) with a solid understanding of goroutines, event loops, and concurrency.
- Deep expertise in relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), indexes (B-tree, GIN), and query execution plans.
- Hands-on experience with message brokers (Kafka or RabbitMQ) and distributed caching (Redis).
- Strong foundation in software engineering principles (SOLID, DRY, Clean Architecture, Twelve-Factor App).
High-Value Bonus Signals
- Experience building double-entry accounting ledgers or payment gateway integrations.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes operators or service meshes (Istio/Linkerd).
- Knowledge of cryptographic algorithms, HMAC signing, and blockchain integration.
